Project Overview:
Easy to Visit, Hard to Stay is a photo catalog of my black-and-white 35mm photos taken between 2018 & 2023. It brings together a selection of images that capture different moments, places, and perspectives over time.
This project was also a way for me to explore layout and publication design. I focused on how the images flow together, thinking about pacing, composition, and how each photo connects to the next to create a more cohesive and engaging book.
Process and Outcome:
Over time, I’ve built a diverse collection of photographs, and during the catalog’s design process, I was concerned they might come across as disjointed. Ultimately, the consistent black-and-white aesthetic and intentional organization bring a sense of cohesion and guide the viewer through the work. As this is the first volume, I’m excited to continue expanding the series with future editions.
